Lachlan Chisholm
Lachlan Chisholm has been a physiotherapist in the Nowra Shoalhaven area since 2014. He has a Masters in Physiotherapy from the Sydney University as well as a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Nutrition) from the University of Wollongong.
Lachlan has interests in sports physiotherapy, Back and neck pain, and orthopaedic rehabilitation and continues to pursue these interests by participating in further education.
Lachlan has achieved past selection as an international level middle distance runner, representing Australia on several occasions and is continuing to train for state and national competition as a masters athlete. He draws on his extensive knowledge and personal experience of exercise and injury management gained during his time as an elite athlete to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.
Lachlan has extensive private practice experience, both locally and around the country. He has also gained experience in rehabilitation during his time as head of the physiotherapy department in a regional Rehabilitation Hospital. Lachlan also has work experience as an Injury Management Advisor in the Insurance Industry and this has expanded his understanding of the complexities of workplace injuries and the insurance system.
Harrison McGill
Harrison graduated from the University of Canberra in 2020 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He grew up in the Nowra area and is now returning to commence full time work at our clinic.
Harrison is a distance runner and has represented NSW for both athletics and cross country. He has a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, running-related injuries, back pain, and post-operative physiotherapy.
Joel Cooke
Joel comes to us for the summer from working in Canada, while he is home visiting family.
He is a highly experienced physio who a real passion for snow sports spending his winters between the southern and northern hemispheres as he has been heavily involved with the Australian Paralympic Snowboard Cross and Alpine teams, attending the Sochi 2014 Paralympics in Russia and the 2015 Para Alpine World Championships in Panorama, British Columbia.
Joel graduated from Wollongong University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medical Science and completed his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2007 at Sydney University.
Joel has worked predominately in private practice and has experience treating a variety of sports related injuries as well as everyday body maintenance. He believes in a balance between hands on techniques combined with specific, patient orientated rehabilitation.
Whether it is getting you back on the slopes, sporting field or just back into moving and staying well, Joel looks forward to helping you on your way.
Five Questions with Joel
- If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be? I would love to learn sign language. I have always thought it would be a great hidden skill.
- What is the top holiday on your bucket list? I have never been to the Maldives. It looks like an amazing spot to visit.
- What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? Any Movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I find most of his quotes apply to everyday life…. “Get to da Choppa!”
- What is the best song ever? Too many to pick but ‘Everlong’ by Foo Fighters is a favorite.
- Do you collect anything? I love collecting surfboards.
